Step 12: Combine the sixteen cards and shuffle once or twice.
We will build five piles of three cards each, one for the subject,
one for the subject’s family, one for subject’s heart, one for
what was, and one for what will be. Proceed in the following
way. Drawing from the top, choose a card for you and place it
face down on the upper left. As you draw it say, ``for me’’ or if
you are telling another’s fortune say, ‘’for you’’. As you choose
the next card say ``for my family’’ (``for your family’’) and place
it face down in the upper middle. Drawing the third card say
``for my heart’’ (``for your heart’’) and place it face down on the
upper right. Drawing the fourth card say ``what was’’ and
place it face down below the other three, a little to the left.
Drawing the fifth card say ``what will be’’ and place it face
down below the first three and to the right of the fourth. The
sixth card drawn is special. As you draw it say ``what will be
the outcome’’ and place it face down below the last two. Now
repeat the first five draws twice until each of the five piles
contains three cards. The card predicting the outcome
remains alone.
