Exceptions: Rarely, accidents may happen as you arrange the
cards, with some cards falling out of your hands onto the table
or floor. These must be taken seriously, as they typically
signify events which will happen very soon. If one card falls,
consider what is written below the word ``Alone’’. If more fall,
read them from left to right, as described above. (If you drop
more than three, let someone else shuffle.) If you are very
lucky, the King of Clubs will fall alone, or will be the lone card
in Step 14. Then you are blessed!
Now that you’re done, a few words to remember. Above all,
fortune telling is an art and we have offered no more than a
guide. Only with practice can you uncover your gifts and thus
delve more deeply into the messages borne by the cards.
Never despair over what you’ve read – only the past is
determined, the future can always be changed. The best way
to explore this art is with your friends, in a spirit of joy and
good humor. DISCLAIMER: These fortune telling cards are
meant to be used for entertainment. Never use them to make
important decisions.
As mentioned earlier, there is a slight variation in procedures
depending on whose fortune is to be told. These all involve
replacing the Queen of Diamonds, which plays a special role
in telling the fate of an unmarried woman, by other cards
associated with the subject’s status. We list them below:
Unmarried man: Jack of Diamonds
Married woman: Queen of Hearts
Married man: Jack of Hearts
Divorced or widowed woman: Queen of Clubs
Divorced or widowed man: Jack of Clubs
